Nicole Antonie

After having the privilege of living with a local community in the Peruvian Amazon from 2001 – 2004, I arrived back in South Africa searching for a similar connection to Nature, Spirit and the essence of Joy and Community. I immersed myself in community work, with a deep desire to make a difference on the planet but instead found myself in many challenging situations. Towards the end of 2004, I received my first Kahuna after a traumatic experience. While receiving the massage, I felt a deep release of the trauma, a clarity I had never experienced before and a homecoming for my body and soul. In that moment, I knew I had discovered my calling and that I wanted to learn this modality.

I began my journey as a Kahuna therapist in 2005, and it has been the adventure of a lifetime. Kahuna has taken me to places in myself, and on journeys that I could never have imagined. In 2017 we adventured to Hawaii to connect with the land and the people, which only affirmed the calling I have to share this work. Kahuna continues to be a lifestyle practice that constantly brings me deep Aloha, gratitude, connection and a celebration of life. In 2014 I started teaching Kahuna, and I am constantly deeply moved by the transformation and joy the work brings into people’s lives.

As I grow both individually and in community, I feel supported by both the work and the magical Ohana I am surrounded by. It is through Kahuna I feel I can be my best self, and make a difference on this planet, one body at a time.
